New multi-sensor navigation system for GNSS-denied environments (gpsworld.com)
Advanced Navigation has shared real-world testing results of its LVS Hybrid navigation system. The system is designed for long-endurance operations in environments where GNSS signals are unavailable or unreliable. This system integrates a fibre-optic gyroscope (FOG) inertial navigation system (INS) with a Laser Velocity Sensor (LVS), creating a software-fused, inertial-centered architecture.
Celestial Navigation for Drones (mdpi.com)
Celestial navigation is rarely seen in modern Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The size and weight of a stabilized imaging system, and the lack of precision, tend to be at odds with the operational requirements of the aircraft. Nonetheless, celestial navigation is one of the few non-emissive modalities that enables global navigation over the ocean at night in Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) denied environments.
