Iwantmydomain.com randomly refunded all of my domains and locked me out (ycombinator.com)
This is a heads up to stay away from this shady company. Yesterday evening I saw a bunch of refund emails come through for every domain I hold with them. I tried to login to my account to see what was going on and I was locked out!
My domain registrar (DNSimple) tried to 5x the cost of my reseller plan (watilo.com)
TL;DR: DNSimple eliminated our "legacy plan" and tried to increase our annual spend from $810 (plus domain registration fees) to $4,000 (plus domain registration fees).
Namecheap Flagged for EU 'Piracy Watchlist' After Fail to Block Infringing Sites (torrentfreak.com)
Dutch anti-piracy group BREIN has submitted its recommendations for the EU's Counterfeiting and Piracy Watchlist. The group notes that its court-ordered site blocking efforts appear to be paying off but several intermediaries could be more cooperative. This includes domain registrar Namecheap, which refuses to block customers' sites without a U.S. court order.
