Lately I’ve been getting more and more occurrences of YouTube refusing to play video with the message: <p>> Sign in to confirm you’re not a bot.<p>> This helps protect our community<p>From searching online, this seems to have started some months ago and to be affecting people on VPNs. In my case, I was browsing normally with iCloud Private Relay. It may be targeting downloaders and alternative frontends but so far we only have speculation.
